Dr Stephanie Kaye Barrett (formerly Dr Stephanie Kaye), is a consultant physician and rheumatologist with over twelve years of consultant grade experience and expertise.
She was appointed as a consultant physician and rheumatologist in 1996, at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, where she set up a new medical team and specialist clinics in rheumatology. The specialist clinics included a complex rheumatoid arthritis clinic (using the latest anti-TNF drugs), osteoporosis clinic (including premenopausal and male patients), joint injection clinic, combined expert hand clinic (with the consultant hand surgeon) and a combined expert shoulder clinic. There were also strong links with the spinal surgery and pain management teams.
With a great sense of gratitude for all the training and excellent opportunities for teamwork, Dr Kaye Barrett left the NHS in 2004, motivated by a wish to work on a smaller scale and at a more personal level with her patients. She works in Chelsea Consulting Rooms and at The Lister Hospital, with a network of consultant colleagues and practitioners. Tatler magazine listed her in the UK’s top 250 best private doctors in 2006 and 2007. Dr Kaye Barrett is referred to, both nationally and internationally, for the treatment of painful musculoskeletal disorders.
