Profile
Dr Ranson qualified from St George’s, University of London in 1988. After initially working in hospital medicine she trained as a GP and has been working in General Practice since 1993. She has attained the higher qualification of Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners and has an MA in Medical Ethics and Law.
In addition to her work as a GP she is a GP Expert and Commissioner for the Commission on Human Medicines and for 9 years was a member of the General Medical Council during which time she was Chair of the Working Group which developed guidance for all doctors on children age 0 – 18 years.
